Music Composition Session

Wednesday Nights, 6:00-7:00 pm

10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11

$100 for all four classes

Note: this session is open to students who write with music notation only.  Though, I am interested in doing a future session for anyone who produces music electronically using a DAW like Garageband or FL Studio.  Email me if you are interested!

Week 1:  Basic tips on composing music, preparation for next week’s assignment

Week 2:  Students will perform an 8-16 measure composition written for their solo instrument

Week 3:  Challenges and techniques for composing for different instrument groups/families

Week 4:  Students will write an 8-16 measure composition for another student in the class to perform
